A contractor has confirmed that parts of South Florida will soon be next in line for Clearwire to launch Clear WiMax service within the next month, with testing currently underway by the service provider. Early reports also indicate that the service is currently live around the Ft. Lauderdale area with average speeds of 4mbps down/1mbps up ahead of its official launch. Neither Sprint nor Clearwire have confirmed a specific launch timeframe for the market at this time.
