As we mentioned in the last merger update, the final hurdle to the Cingular/AT&T Wireless merger was approval from the DoJ. Well, today, that light went green. All that is stoping the merger now is a procedural vote from the FCC, and final procedural agreements from both parties. Cingular now officially expects the merger to close by the end of the year.
