Cingular announced that as of June 19 Cingular business customers will have access to Direct Push Technology on their Windows Mobile 5.0 handsets. This Direct Push Technology is initially available on Cingular’s 8100 Series Pocket PC phones and also on Cingular’s 2125 Smart Phone. Those Business Customers with Windows Mobile 5.0 devices with the MSFP update (messaging and security features pack update) can download updates directly from the Cingular website for free. Microsoft Exchange server is already compatible with Cingular’s Direct Push Technology. Your time sensitive e-mails, calendar events and more will be sent directly to your device without the need for periodic synchronization cycles. This will greatly extend your devices battery life over constantly checking your e-mail.
