New, Very Useful T608 Codes Discovered
A former SonyEricsson T608/CDMA team member (who I am assuming wishes to remain anonymous, please contact me if otherwise) sent me the following code that enables some very useful menus. Dial ##8786368 (##TSTMENU). Then press the Menu key, and select Add Number. The following menu items are now enabled. Menu->9Settings->4Display->5Display Sleep Menu->9Settings->7Other->2Time & Date->3Set Time […]

HP iPAQ h2210/h2215 Firmware Update
HP has released a new firmware update for their popular h221X handheld. Version 1.10 includes updated Bluetooth drivers and manager, as well as fixes the issue with SDIO devices draining the battery, and 25 other issues. Hopefully this update will fix the issues the PDA was having with reconnecting to the SonyEricsson T608 after an […]
T608 Rebate Update
In another SPI-proved-the-T608-naysayers-wrong turn of events, Sprint has started issuing rebate checks for the T608 $100 rebate. Most people that mailed in the rebate were initially rejected, due to the rebate center thinking that you had to be a new customer, and then that the T608 was not under the promotion (try and figure that […]
AT&T: T68i > T226 > T616?!
It appears that AT&T and Sony Ericsson are taking a bit of heat for offering people a T226 for their T68i, so that they can take advantage of 850 MHz towers (that were not around when GSM was launched with the T68i). The biggest complaint from people is the lack of connectivity options on the […]
SPI Delivers T608/SE Wap Page Workaround
As you may have known if you own a T608, the pre-loaded bookmark to SonyEricsson’s WAP Site does not work (selecting the T608 generates an error). However, SE has placed some of that content online for previewing at their HTML site. To workaround the unadressed problem, we have comprised all of the T608 downloads into […]
AT&T: Sony Ericsson Unveils T637 & Z500 *Updated*
Update: PhoneScoop.com has posted a new article, detailing the upcoming products, including the new T237. Today Sony Ericsson unveiled their 2004 product portfolio, a preview of most of their upcoming products for the year. Included are the T637, a version of the T630 that adds 850 MHz support (making it a lock for AT&T and […]
T606: Finally, Finally Dead
Sony Ericsson has finally removed the T606 from their global coming soon page. Some had suspected that there was a significant storage of T606 units that were going to be negotiated to a smaller regional carrier in the U.S. or Asia. It now appears SE has destroyed those units if they ever did exist.
T608 Faulty Real Time Clocks?
It appears that a large amount of SonyEricsson T608s may be defective. Running the Real Time Clock service test (Dial ##786 > Menu Key > Add Number > Menu Softkey > Service Screen > Service Tests > Real Time Clock) shows that the T608 fails… a lot. Multiple T608s tested have shown the test to […]
AT&T: AT&T Gives GAIT Another Push
For the first time, AT&T is offering both the Siemens S46 and the GAIT SonyEricsson T62u online, at the same time. Each has its pros and cons, but it’s good to see AT&T continuing to sell multiband phones, especially online. Siemens S46 Product Page Sony Ericsson T62u Product Page
