Representatives for Casio confirmed to PhoneNews.com today that the G’zOne Brigade is not cancelled, and will launch on Verizon Wireless next month.
Uncertainty around the phone’s launch began with both the product page and press release for the Brigade vanished early this morning. The Brigade differs from previous G’zOne phones in that it adds a full QWERTY keyboard, while still maintaining its waterproof design.
Casio also confirmed to PhoneNews.com that the phone will be available online and in-stores some time next month.

haha “some time next month”…nice
I seen the dump phone in a Verizon Store in NC today…… Looks sweet I’m planning on getting one as soon as they are available…..
So I am getting my upgrade at the end of March, I hope this phone is out, cuz I want to get it, I read on the Verizon boards that the Verizons stores are now agreeing on the date March 11th, so we will see I guess..
Well, we at least know somebody got it this week. Anyone else seen this for sale on ebay > Casio G’zOne BRIGADE ?
Many stores have stock of the Brigade, but were told not to sell it shortly after stores opened on the 25th.
Because of that, some people were able to buy them before stores were told to stop selling them, due to the delayed launch date.
I wonder if Verizon will tack on the $9.99 mandated data plan.
I’ve been looking for a good texting phone that has a decent camera that can withstand my toddler occassionally dropping it. I was going to get the envy 3, but I don’t want to pay the data plan.
PLease, hopefully Verizon won’t force the $9.99 on this phone.
