Apple and HTC have announced via newswires that they have settled all outstanding litigation against each other regarding respective patent claims between both manufacturers. The terms of the settlement further state that there will be a new 10-year cross-licensing agreement with financial terms undisclosed at this time that includes all current and future patents from the respective companies.
With the landmark settlement between both companies regarding largely acrimonious patent litigation, this opens up further opportunities for similar settlements between Apple and other companies with which it is currently involved in patent litigation. More details are forthcoming.
