Upstart phone distributor Miami-based BLU Products’ latest Android smartphone in the VIVO IV is now available for purchase from Amazon for $299.99. The smartphone, which is the second smartphone to feature the MediaTek Octa-Core processor announced earlier this year features the following specifications and features a 5.5mm thick bodyshell with a glass front and sealed rear glass backing:
- Network: 2G (GSM/GPRS/EDGE) 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, 3G (HSPA+ 21Mbps) 850/1900/2100, Single Micro-SIM Card Slot
- Display: Full HD Super AMOLED 5.0 inch 1080 x 1920, with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection
- Processor: MediaTek Octa-Core MT6592 1.7GHz with Mali450-MP4 GPU
- OS: Android v4.2 Jelly Bean, upgradable to Android 4.4 Kitkat in June 2014
- Camera: Rear – 13 megapixel with LED Flash, Video Record 1080p @ 30fp; Front – 5.0 megapixel
- Connectivity: WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi Hotspot, micro-USB, FM Radio

The phone was originally scheduled for release at the end of next month, with a future update to KitKat also in the works for later this month. This phone originally launched earlier this year from Chinese OEM Gionee under the Elife S5.5 name and is also sold in other markets under the same brand.
