RIM has posted its long-awaited Mini Keyboard Convertible Case up for pre-order to anyone outside of Canada. Originally, the case was to be exclusive to the Canadian electronics store chain The Source, owned by the American Best Buy chain, but RIM has seen fit to make it available outside of Canada.
The case features an integrated keyboard with touchpad that supports multiple gestures to accommodate Windows left and right click functionality along with keyboard shortcuts, though the case does not support any sort of docking functionality, instead using Bluetooth connectivity to interface between the tablet and the keyboard.
The case is available for pre-order at $119.99 and expected to be shipped out next week on the 23rd and is intended for users that own the recently updated tablet and RIM is featuring the case in multiple demo videos posted to YouTube, which demonstrate the gesture support built into the touchpad and the functionality of the keyboard. The first video demonstrating the case is embedded below.
