After months of being in development, BlackBerry has finally brought its BBM messaging service for Android and iOS to parity with the native BlackBerry version with today’s update, which adds support for voice calls between BBM users over cellular data or Wi-Fi and BBM Channels, a new social networking component that lets users create their own content channels within BBM. The update is available now through Google Play and the App Store. In related news, BlackBerry has also updated the native BB10 BBM client with Dropbox integration and support for larger BBM Groups.
