After months of anticipation and preparation, AT&T is set to launch its LTE network in 5 markets beginning on September 18th. The first five markets to be launched will be Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio with 15 more markets to be launched by the end of the year.
AT&T currently sells LTE compatible hardware in the HTC JetStream Android tablet and mobile broadband modems in the Momentum 4G and the Elevate 4G, with the first phones to be launched during the late holiday season. The confirmation of the launch was taken from a speech given by AT&T CFO John Stephens during the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media conference, currently underway.
