AT&T to Launch Four New Devices and New Services

The first details on two new Samsung Quick Messaging devices have been announced by AT&T.

The Samsung Sunburst (at left) features a touchscreen that features widgets for SMS/social media and GPS support. The Samsung Strive (at right) features a sliding full-QWERTY keyboard and a 2 megapixel camera along with GPS support.Both handsets will be available on March 21st, the Strive for $69.99 before $50 mail-in rebate and the Sunburst for $89.99 before the same $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the totals to $19.99 and $39.99.

Two new Pantech handsets have also been announced for release later in the year in the the Link is described by AT&T as an “ultra slim and light, full keyboard quick messaging phone” with social media support. The Pursuit features both a touchscreen, sliding QWERTY keyboard and a camera of unknown resolution that supports facial recognition and geotagging with a launch slated for this summer.

AT&T Address Book is a free contact sync system that backs up to AT&T’s servers over the air and is accessible via the PC. AT&T Mobile Share allows subscribers upload pictures and videos up to 10MB to their PC and social media sites as well as send it to friends or upload it to the new AT&T Locker service. The service will cost $10 per month or $0.35 per use and provides 250MB of storage which is expandable to 10GB for an additional $5 per month.

Last and quite possibly least is Next Generation Messaging, which enables threaded messaging in addition to group messaging and the ability to reply to all for up to 10 contacts at time.
