After being pulled from sale earlier this year, AT&T has officially resumed sales of the Quickfire multimedia messaging device after a design flaw was discovered in the charging port that allowed for the incorrect insertion of the charger, which is now corrected.
The Quickfire features quadband GSM/EDGE, triband UMTS/HSDPA access, QWERTY keyboard, hardware voice/data toggle switch for multitasking, microSDHC expansion slot, sliding QVGA touch screen display, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, speakerphone, 1.3 megapixel camera with video recorder and Video Share support, voice control, GPS access through AT&T Navigator, Polaris HTML web browser, and the full suite of AT&T services (Mail, IM, XM Radio, eMusic, Napster Mobile, Cellular Video, and mobiTV).
AT&T has also heavily discounted the post agreement price for the Quickfire from the initial $149.99 pricepoint all the way down to $79.99 after new 2 year agreement before the $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the total down to $29.99.
