AT&T will be launching its first high-end Android device in its variant of the Samsung Galaxy S high-end Android device which will be sold under the Captivate brand, while still featuring the Galaxy S branding on the back of the redesigned bodyshell.
In terms of specifications, the Galaxy S will be identical to the European version with the internally developed and manufactured ARM Cortex-based 1GHz Hummingbird application processor and 4 inch wide Super AMOLED capacitive touch display along with a 5.0 megapixel camera with autofocus and 720p video capture.
Samsung will be holding a press event on June 29th to officially launch the device, with availability expected this summer.
Where is the story about the Sprint branded Galaxy S Pro?
Will AT&T block third-party apps like their doing for the Backflip and the Aria?
From what I’ve heard at&t is pretty much leaving this one alone and just adding a few app of their own (Navigator, Yellowpages etc.)
