AT&T has launched the Sony Ericsson W580i. The slider form factor phone features a built-in velocity sensitive accelerometer to control the Walkman music player with nothing more than a slight movement with a hand left and right to skip tracks or a quick up and down motion to shuffle tracks.
The phone also features a 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP stereo audio support, built-in Google Blogger client, FM radio with RDS support, AT&T Mail client, RSS reader, fitness application suite, MemoryStick Micro M2 expansion slot, and spekerphone.
The phone is now available online for $269.99 retail, or $129.99 on a 2 year agreement before $50 mail-in rebate bring the total to $79.99.
