AT&T representative Seth Bloom has been correcting the media today regarding AT&T’s plans to commercially launch LTE in 2011, which would have placed it almost two years behind Verizon’s planned late 2009 rollout. AT&T will in fact be launching wide-scale LTE trials in certain markets during that timeframe, but the company has previously stated that it does not expect to see LTE widely deployed until 2014 and that it will depend on HSPA+ until that time, making the delay a moot point.
They need to get some things together and get rolling on this stuff. This is getting ridiculous they just keep getting farther and farther behind. STEP IT UP!
