AT&T has begun offering the Nokia N75 as a GoPhone Pick Your Plan offering. This is the first time that the S60 platform has been released and promoted in a prepaid offering.
The nation’s largest wireless service provider has been expanding efforts to increase data usage amongst prepaid users. This has largely been spurred by large sales of iPhone to prepaid users, despite AT&T not directly giving an option for iPhone on prepaid during purchase. GoPhone Pick Your Plan offers unlimited data for $19.99/month, and Pay As You Go users can purchase data at $10 per five megabytes.
The N75 offers S60 3rd Edition, and also takes advantage of AT&T Cellular Video and Mobile Music. The phone is clearly the most powerful, aside from Apple’s iPhone, to be offered on AT&T prepaid, as the phone combines UMTS coverage and HSDPA data with Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and a microSD card slot.
