Following the discontinuation of the Sharp-manufactured Kin this past weekend, AT&T has announced its first Sharp branded device (and only the second ever Sharp-branded device sold on a US carrier) in the Sharp FX.
The FX is based heavily on the Sidekick/Hiptop design language with a sliding widescreen QVGA resolution display, QWERTY keyboard, media player, access to AT&T services including Mobile TV, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder, microSD expansion slot and Bluetooth with stereo audio support.
Pricing is set at $149.99 before an additional $50 mail-in rebate via AT&T Promotion Card and two year agreement with minimum $20 messaging or combination of messaging/data plan required.
