AT&T have announced that it has reached an agreement with hobbyist hardware manufacturer Bug Labs to provide network access and support for the updated AT&T Connection Kit with the BUG+3G/GSM kit, a series of hardware modules by Bug Labs with built-in AT&T 3G access with pre-activated SIM cards.
Devices built with the kit must still be able to pass final certification if major changes are made, but are sold with preliminary FCC/AT&T certification as is.The Bug Labs BUG+3G module will be available in January via AT&T’s Emerging devices portal.
