After first being mistakenly listed last month on its plan listing for GoPhone, AT&T has officially rolled out unlimited throttled data access on the $45 and $60 smartphone plans for the prepaid service. Previously, both the $45 and $60 plans featured hard data caps that required the purchase of additional data at $10/1GB if the 1GB/2.5GB data allotments were used before the end of the monthly cycle. However, the addition of throttled data isn’t all good news, as the speeds for the throttle are set at 128kbps and not the hoped for 512kbps throttle that would have set GoPhone apart from the rest of the industry on throttled data.
