Both of the parties responsible for exposing a massive security flaw within the iPad and AT&T’s account management system have been arrested and charged with conspiracy to access a computer without authorization and fraud for developing a script known as iPad 3G Account Slurper to access AT&T’s account information servers, mimic an iPad 3G and use random identifiers in order to explore the depth of the flaw.
The act exposed the account information of over 120,000 customers when it was discovered last June while leaving AT&T exposed and scrambling to contain the public relations fallout from the incident.
