Apple has released a new Bluetooth firmware update, version 1.2.0. The specifics of what this update does are not clear, Apple only states that it will improve performance. Some users have reported added options, especially with older D-Link USB adapters.
This update is only for Bluetooth 1 built-in or D-Link Bluetooth USB adapters, systems with Bluetooth 2.0+EDR do not need this update. If you have a D-Link adapter, installing this update will prevent the device from being used on a Windows PC. Finally, the update requires Mac OS X 10.4.3.
