10:23 – Phil Schiller now onstage to present iPhone 5C. The 5C is made from one glass multitouch display and one whole polycarbonate shell with no seams. New silicone 5C cases with circular cutouts to show color contrast
10:27 – 5C to feature 4-inch Retina display, A6, slightly larger battery than iPhone 5, same 8-megapixel unit as in iPhone 5, new FaceTime front camera with better low-light performance, more LTE support than current smartphones, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0.
10:30 – Pricing for 5C starts at $99 for 16GB model with new 2 year agreement, 32GB for $199.
10:34 – Phil back onstage to talk 5S. 5S to be released in White, Black and Gold colors made out of high-grade aluminum.
10:36 – 5S features A7 CPU with 64-bit instruction set, nearly identical to A6 in size, native kernel, drivers and full Xcode support, fully backwards compatible.
10:39 – 56x faster than first iPhone in terms of GPU performance, Epic Games rep Donald Mustard onstage to showcase new GPU performance.
10:44 – Infinity Blade demo also showcased OpenGL ES 3.0 support, new part revealed known as M7 co-processor that measures data from accelerometer, gyroscope, compass inputs for new app development, will also take input data without waking up device completely along with new CoreMotion API for developers
10:47 – Battery life for 5S is 10 hours 3G talk, 10 hours wifi browsing, 40 hours of music, 250 hours of standby, better than 5
10:48 – 5S camera features 5 element lens, f/2.2 aperture, 15% larger sensor area, 1.5µ pixel size on sensor, improved camera software, dual-LED flash with “TrueTone” flash control and real-time light metering for proper exposure
10:52 – image stabilization and new 10fps burst capture modes along with 120fps 720p video capture round out camera features
10:56 – New security features for 5S include fingerprint sensor on home button with new TouchID security app, 170µ thin capacitive sensor, 500ppi resolution, scans further down into sub-epidermal layers, 360° reader
11:00 – fingerprint sensor can also be tied to iTunes purchases and home button remains tactile, fingerprint data encrypted into A7 processor, never leaves device
11:02 – Pricing for 5S starts at $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB, 64GB for $399, all with 2 year agreement.
11:08 –  Pre-Orders for 5C start on Friday with launches in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, and the UK on September 20th. No pre-order date for 5S announced. Launch on NTT DoCoMo also announced for Japan. Planned to launch on over 270 carriers in over 100 countries by December 2013.
