Alltel has launched a series of Wi-Fi access plans using Bongo Wireless as its partner to complement their existing data services for customers who need Wi-Fi access here or abroad.
The Alltel Wi-Fi service is split into two price points, $21.99 a month for customers with an Alltel voice and/or data plan, and $9.99 a month for customers with existing mobile broadband service at $59.99 a month.
This makes the service ideal for Alltel customers that are outside of EV-DO coverage, or are frequent world travelers as the Bongo Wireless footprint covers North and South America, as well as Barnes & Noble, Avis, Marriott Hotels, Embassy Suites, Holiday Inn Hotels, Hilton Hotels, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Tully’s Coffee locations. The service is also available in a pay as you go option.
