Alltel today announced that eleven of its handsets will now support the nuTsie iTunes companion application, with more coming in the near future. Â NuTsie works in unison with iTunes, bringing a user’s collection of music to their mobile device in a unique way.
Instead of your music and playlists being stored on the device itself, nuTsie works by taking the song metadata from your playlists in iTunes, matching the information to it’s central music database, and then loading the songs directly from its servers to your device. Â
The app makes your entire iTunes library easily accessable from your mobile device via the client without loading the device down with files.  In addition to access to your own library and playlists, you can also access friends’ playlists and those composed by nuTsie’s “experts” to go above and beyond the capabilities of iTunes.
The service is available now, with a cost of $4.99 per month or $19.99 annually.
This doesn’t let you download songs, just play an itunes playlist? This will be another notch in vzw’s music belt
