Following up on the news of Sprint purchasing Virgin Mobile yesterday, South Korean mega carrier SKTelecom has announced its intentions to sell its 15.3 percent stake in Virgin Mobile to Sprint as well as reselling the miniscule 0.53 percent stake in Sprint gained as a result of the Virgin ownership sale and transaction.
SKTelecom became a major shareholder in Virgin Mobile after the MVNO purchased the Helio assets and branding from the South Korean carrier for $39 million last year.
