Verizon LG enV Touch to Launch on June 5th

Following up on the launch of the enV3, Verizon will launch the successor to the venerable Voyager the week after in…the enV Touch.

As can be surmised from the name, the enV Touch will trade the Voyager namplate and substitute it with a more familiar brand while including improved specifications form the old model, including dual WVGA resolution displays with the main being a touchscreen display and an internal display mesuring the same without a touchscreen, 3.0 megapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus, Schneider Kreuznach optics, and QWERTY keyboard, 3.5mm headset jack, stereo speakers, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, microSDHC expansion slot, Novarra web browser, and speakerphone.

Of note is the removal of VCAST Mobile TV access in this model, presumably due to low customer interest, as well as the addition of Visual Voicemail support. The phone is expected to be released on June 5th in all sales channels for $289.99 after a new 2 year agreement before a $70 rebate, bringing the total to $219.99.

LG enV Touch available for sale on Best Buy for a whopping $599.99. This is much more than the anticipated $219.99 with a new two-year agreement with Verizon, so we’re guessing this is the full price without a contract. Also, somebody at Best Buy must have jumped the gun because the original estimate was that the enV Touch was to be in stores starting June 5
