Nokia has officially launched the US version of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic a day before the previously reported date of February 26th.
The 5800 features a 640 x 360 resolution widescreen resistive touch display, quadband EDGE/GSM, dual-band HSDPA support, Wi-Fi radio, built-in GPS transceiver with A-GPS support, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, microSDHC slot, microUSB port, 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, video recorder, and flash with video light along with Carl Zeiss optics.
The 5800 is also noted for being the first Symbian Series 60 5th Edition device which supports touch displays and even includes an instrument plectrum (or guitar pick if you prefer) as a stylus.
The phone is now available at the Nokia Flagship locations in New York and Chicago for $399.99
Update: According to Nokia Store employees, the phones themselves are in stock, but the custom inventory solution they employ for transactions is having issues with inventory tracking which prevents them from officially selling the phone at either location until the issue is resolved.
Thanks for efforts
