Sprint has launched the Samsung MM-A700, currently only for sale only through TeleSales, for $399.99. The Samsung A700 will support new multimedia services through Sprint, one of the initial services is Sprint TV.
Sprint TV will offer a basic lineup of channels that closely mirrors MobiTV’s basic channel set. MobiTV is actually the content provider of Sprint TV, and the MobiTV application will continue to offer TV services to phones that do not have Sprint TV support. In addition, premium channels will be available for purchase to add to your personal channel lineup.
Sprint TV is available to add to a current Vision plan/pack for $9.99, or it is available in a new multimedia pack. The new Multimedia Vision Pack integrates unlimited Vision, Picture Mail, Video Mail, 100 Text Messages, and Sprint TV for $25, with $5 additional to add ReadyLink. Add-A-Phones can add the multimedia pack for $15 (ReadyLink is $10 to add on shared lines with the Multimedia Pack).
