After many delays, AT&T has officially launched the evolution of the BlackBerry platform in the Bold 9000.
The device features a landscape half VGA (480×320) display, quadband GSM/EDGE access, triband W-CDMA with support for UMTS and HSDPA high speed data access, full international 3G roaming with support for Japanese and Korean sub-bands, Wi-Fi radio with support for advanced WPA encryption, microSDHC slot, 1GB of internal memory, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder, flash and zoom, speakerphone, media player, voice activated dialing, noise cancellation, document viewer/editor, GPS transceiver, and Bluetooth 2.0 with stereo audio support.
AT&T will also be including free Wi-Fi access at corporate Starbucks locations with the purchase of the Bold and a qualifying data plan. Â
The phone is now available from AT&T for $549.99 with No Commitment or $399 with new 2 year agreement before an additional $100 mail-in rebate via a prepaid Visa card, bringing the total cost to $299.
The price is actually $299 after rebate
This phone is nice, but it’s not cheap. I paid $399 plus tax and will receive a rebate “Visa” card that can’t be used like a regular card. Was told the card should arrive within two months. Rebate not applicable unless I purchased a qualifying BB plan.
I really like this new phone. I cant wait till the verizon one comes out. Did anyone see it? It is soo cool It competes directly with the Iphone!
