Microsoft Announces Least Expensive Lumia Yet in 430 Dual SIM

Lumia-430In its drive to push down the cost of its Lumia smartphone range ever lower in order to attract first-time smartphone buyers in developing countries, Microsoft has announced its least expensive Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone that will also be updated to Windows 10 for Mobile later this year in the Lumia 430 Dual SIM.

The phone meets the exact minimum specifications for a Windows Phone 8.1 device and features a 4-inch WVGA resolution display a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage with a microSD slot; 2-megapixel main camera without flash and VGA front-facing camera with a 1,500mAh removable battery.

Lumia-430_SkypeThe Lumia 430 runs Windows 8.1 with the latest Lumia Denim update and features dual-SIM capability with Microsoft’s Smart Dual SIM capability which allows for both SIM cards to be active with customized profiles for incoming and outgoing calls to ensure calls are not missed and sent between SIMs if necessary, through call forwarding. The phone will be sold for the equivalent of $70 USD and is aimed at the APAC and IMEA regions, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Belarus, who will see the phone first in April.
