With the increasing flow of traffic of users using their mobile phones to access social networking sites such as FaceBook etc, it comes to no surprise that MySpace has started to offer a free mobile friendly site as well.Â
MySpace has officially launched their free ad-supported mobile version.Â
The social networking site was initially available as a subscription based service through AT&T, Helio and T-Mobile and there are no plans of shutting down the subscription based service although the free version can now be accessed by going to mobile.myspace.com from the phone’s browser. One can expect many of the features found on MySpace to be available to them.Â
Although pictures can not be uploaded but the user can send and receive messages along with friend requests, update blogs, change mood status, find and search users and update bulletins.Â
The parent company of MySpace, Fox Interactive Media, is said to be working with Millennial Media for selling ads on MySpace and MySpaceMobile.
more and more competition will end up in something really valuable for mobile users, i am sure.
Current trends are changing and the world is going mobile, that’s a good sign.
I know. With the fast paced life almost everywhere, it’s a good thing we have the ability not to be at our desk and get work done while on the go. And with the money consumers are spending on the service and equipment, it’s bound to be a good ride for us phone fanatics !
