Hackers have developed a one-click method of installing third-party software onto Apple’s iPhone.
While Apple has announced that they will be offering such ability in February of next year, developers have already broken through such restrictions and made hundreds of applications for iPhone. However, with the 1.1.1 firmware update, Apple further restricted this ability.
The web site, JailBreakMe.com allows users to install third-party software, simply by clicking a single button on the iPhone when accessing the site. Clicking a link triggers the latest version of the jailbreak process, and then executes code to install the AppTapp Installer, an application which has not been easy to install since the 1.1.1 update was released.
With the AppTapp Installer on iPhone, the user can then access all of the popular applications available for iPhone, including tools that make it easy to access the iPhone filesystem and install other custom software.
