While Apple will officially begin iPhone 5C and 5S pre-orders later tonight, Walmart will be going one step further starting September 20th by offering a $20 discount on the 16GB 5C and a $10 discount on the 16GB 5S, making both $79 and $189 respectively on a new 2 year agreement or qualified upgrade from AT&T, Verizon or Sprint. The sales offer is exclusive to Walmart locations and will not be available online. In addition, there are further discounts starting next Monday, with the 16GB iPhone 5 dropping in price to $79 from $98, the 8GB and 16GB iPhone 4S are now priced at 97 cents and the iPhone 4 will cost 10¢ and come with a $100 Walmart gift card, all after new 2 year agreement.
In related news, Walmart will also cut the price of the Straight Talk iPhone 5 and iPhone 4 by $105, to $549 and $349 respectively, starting on Saturday to reflect their new status in the iPhone lineup. StraightTalk has yet to confirm whether it will continue to sell the iPhone 5 beyond current available stock, as it is officially discontinued by Apple and the 5S and 5C are its replacements.
