AT&T has launched the long-awaited BlackBerry 8820. This is the first BlackBerry device to feature a Wi-Fi radio and features a variety of encryption technologies to secure data while connected over a wireless access point as well as over the cellular network.
The device otherwise is similar to the 8800 in terms of features with quadband GSM, landscape QVGA display, AT&T Mobile Music support, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP stereo audio support, media player, microSD expansion slot, speakerphone, and push to talk support.
The phone is now available online for $349.99 before an additonal $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the total cost of the device to $299.99.
