eBay Daily Deals is offering the Samsung Focus Flash for $149.99 shipped. The phone originally was an AT&T unit, but has since been unlocked for use on any compatible GSM carrier. Using a Straight Talk SIM will net you 4G HSPA+ unlimited everything for $45/month.
While the Samsung Focus Flash is a Windows Phone 7 device, and thus not able to upgrade to Windows Phone 8, Samsung has confirmed that the Focus Flash will be upgraded to the forthcoming Windows Phone 7.8, when it is released later this year. Windows Phone 7.8 will backport many usability features from Windows Phone 8, while also providing a rollup of planned features and improvements for Windows Phone 7-era devices.
The Samsung Focus Flash is ships with a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion processor, Super AMOLED display, 8 GB of storage, built-in FM radio, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, Wi-Fi 802.11n, and supports 720p HD video recording. Windows Phone 7.5 “Mango” is pre-installed.
This eBay daily deal is in brand new condition, but it is unclear if Samsung will back these overstock sales with the standard full one-year warranty.
