Google’s free directory service, 800-GOOG-411 has been updated with new features. The new Map It feature allows you to receive a text message, with a link to Google Maps. Callers simply say Map It after finding a listing to connect to.
The update works with any smart device device that can load a web page, but most importantly, adds support for iPhone. Users who Map It can click on the link, which will trigger iPhone’s embedded version of Google Maps. In addition to pin-pointing the specific result, it will also show other similar results in the area that match the request.
