The first images of a completely assembled new iPhone model have surfaced from a Chinese repair site. The images show a completely assembled chassis that has been rumored to be the next version of the iPhone. The next iPhone is heavily rumored to be the first iPhone to feature a 16:9 aspect ratio as well as a new 19-pin Dock Connector that has allowed for the new alleged device profile to be even thinner and longer than the iPhone 4 and 4S.
The next iPhone is also expected to be the first iPhone to support 4G LTE service across multiple carriers as well as a higher resolution display, the specifics of which have yet to be confirmed. The latest informed conjecture points to the display going from the current 960×640 at 326 pixels per inch on a 3.5-inch display at a 3:2 ratio to an even higher resolution of 1136×640 on a 4 inch 16:9 ratio widescreen display, taking into account the current guidelines for application design and font rendering. Below, the images themselves:
Whether these are reference parts being used to manufacture the devices themselves remains to be seen, as it has been heavily rumored that finished devices have been smuggled out of factories for accessory manufacturers to get a head start on accessory manufacturing to coincide with its expected launch, not in October as is usual for iPhone announcements, but now in September as a part of a new non-music related event which changes their usual launch patterns from previous years.
More leaks are expected in the next few weeks as the Chinese factories ramp up production ahead of launch, with more extensive leaks expected, such as processor, screen resolution and battery size.
