AT&T has launched the Option GT Max 3.6 HSDPA/EDGE ExpressCard.
The card supports ExpressCard 34 and 54 slots, triband W-CDMA support
(UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900/2100), quadband GSM/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900), and
support for XP and
Vista with no immediate word on Mac support. The card is now available
from AT&T Retail Stores and online through the Cingular website
for $49.99 with a 2 year agreement, $100 mail in rebate and qualifying
DataConnect rateplan.
AT&T also announced the pending launch of the Sierra Wireless
Aircard 875U USB Modem. The unit will launch on May 7th and will
support Windows 2000, XP, and Vista with a Mac OSX client made
available as a free download directly from the Sierra Wireless website.
The unit will be sold at the the same $49.99 price point with 2 year
agreement, $100 mail in rebate, and qualifying DataConnect rateplan.
