The first images of the BlackBerry 8830, codenamed Cyclone have
appeared. The 8830 is a dual-mode CDMA/GSM device that resembles the
8800 on Cingular right down to the feature set, the biggest exception
being EVDO support added, as well as support for international GSM frequencies. Otherwise, the device features the same QVGA
screen, microSD expansion slot, and media player as the 8800. The phone
is slated for release on Verizon, with reports stating it could launch
as early as next month. We will have more information as it becomes
available.
