Not long after acknowledging issues with the Wi-Fi radio and subsequently replacing those affected units, it appears the newly revised Dell Venue Pro units are now having issues with recognizing SIM cards after a spate of similar reports have surfaced on the XDA Developer community. At issue is the device’s inability to recognize any SIM card, activated or not, which is affecting both customers that have replaced devices due to the Wi-Fi radio issue and for new customers that have recently purchased the device. Dell has yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
