Microsoft has confirmed during its keynote that it will roll out an update for all Windows Phone 7 devices launched this year which will enable copy/paste of text across applications beginning early next year. The functionality was initially excised from the operating system, but the uproar resulting from its exclusion led to the company to reconsider its initial decision to not include the functionality.
