Nokia has delayed the Nokia N8 smartphone until October to address unexpected demand and last-minute changes. The full statement from Nokia follows below:
"The amount of pre-orders has exceeded our expectations and we are working hard to deliver the Nokia N8 to the market. In some markets, we had planned to start delivering the Nokia N8s to our pre-order customers by the end of September. To ensure a great user experience, we have decided to hold the shipments for a few weeks to do some final amends."
The N8 features a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display, 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 48GB with a 32GB microSDHC card, Ovi Maps access, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, GPS transceiver and 12 megapixel camera with 720p video capture, xenon flash and HDMI output. The device is also compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile 3G networks.
