ARM has announced its latest mobile chipset in the A15, which is a generation ahead in terms of their current processor architecture found in the current Cortex A9.
The chipset can be configured in single and dual-core configurations for smart devices with clock speeds of up to 1.5GHz and scaling to four cores at 2.5GHz for more demanding devices and applications. ST-Ericsson and Samsung will be the first licensees of the new chipset architecture which is expected to be available in both 32mm and 28mm packaging in 2013.
