With cell phones carrying the day in properly adjusting to daylight savings time (DST), Palm Treo 700w users are facing the largest bug to affect the Treo series to date. The Treo 700w will not spring forward appointments, and does not auto-adjust for daylight savings time. Windows Mobile devices are supposed to include auto DST by default, and Palm is making clear that this is a bug, not a failure to include the feature.
On Palm’s knowledge base, Palm has posted a workaround. However, by pulling the battery, only events that originated on the computer will adjust to DST. Appointments created on the handset still will not, leaving users without any option other than manually changing the time on every event one hour ahead.
