Following up on a previous report regarding the newest update for the Peek low-cost messaging device, users have begun to experience issues with the update involving the reception of messages intended for other recipients entirely as well as message transmission issues when sending via Twitter or SMS.
The update also enables Google Voice messaging support and extends social media support beyond Twitter, but users are also reporting that the new timeline support is also flawed as incorrect timelines are also displayed and outgoing status update issues are leading users to conclude the service is down when completely operational.
For its part, Peek representatives have stated that the above features are experimental due to being deployed as test applications in firmware for the time being and have been disabled until the issues can be rectified. Final versions of the applications are forthcoming with no immediate timeframe for release.
