The saga of the failed MVNO known as Zer01 has come to an end, with the District Court in Clark County Nevada finding in favor of former partner GlobalVerge regarding breached contracts signed with the ultimately failed MVNO concerning products and services that were never rendered.
GlobalVerge itself has also been the subject of many complaints by former representatives that were promised massive profit potential by selling Zer01 products and services which never materialized, with GlobalVerge placing the blame on Zer01. GlobalVerge representatives have also stated that it does not feel confident that it will be able to collect on the $43 million judgment handed down by the court, with Zer01 CEO Bob Pilani unresponsive to recent court orders, placing the solvency of the company in doubt.
Zer01 came to prominence in 2009 for making bold claims that the service provider would be able to provide unlimited voice and data services for $70 a month with its claimed backbone and claims of partnerships with carriers which ultimately proved to be false.
