Research In Motion has released its BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express (BESX) software for free download. It offers many of the features that are included in the full BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server) suite, but excludes many BES features that small businesses may not need or use.
BESX’s main features include wireless email, calendar, contacts, notes and tasks sync; email folder management and email search on mail server; full access to calendar, meetings, availability and forwarding tools; settings for out-of-office replies; MS Office document editing and access to company files and mobile apps that are behind a firewall.
The software is available for Microsoft Exchange or Windows Small Business Servers.
