Sprint today settled with affiliate UbiquiTel, removing UbiquiTel’s motions to block the Sprint Nextel merger. Sprint has agreed to not convert any Nextel network infrastructure over to CDMA in UbiquiTel areas, and not to market a dual-network (iDEN and CDMA) phone in the area unless UbiquiTel’s network has priority.
This leaves Gulf Coast as the only affiliate currently moving to block the Sprint Nextel merger.
