Wal-Mart has announced that it will launch a branded MVNO with support from T-Mobile which will be sold under the Wal-Mart Family Mobile brand when the service launches on September 19th. The service will consist of a $45 family plan with each additional line being $25 per month up to a maximum of 5 lines.
No credit check will be required and handsets will be branded and locked to the service, with the initial 5 phone selection including the Motorola Cliq XT for $249.99. Additional services will also be available, such as 1GB of shared data for an additional $40 a month with unused data rolling over to the next month.
