After a week lead time where QVC held the exclusive on the smartphone for a $100 discount, Virgin Mobile has officially listed and started online sales for the HTC Desire 816 Android smartphone at $299.99.
The Desire 816 replaces the previous Desire 610 in the current Virgin Mobile lineup and is an appropriate upgrade, with a 5.5-inch 720p touch display, front facing 5.0 megapixel camera with front-facing BoomSound speakers underpinned by a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor with 1.5GB of RAM and Android KitKat 4.4.2 with 8GB of internal storage along with a microSD slot. The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel main camera with an LED flash, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi radio, FM radio, and NFC support along with support for Sprint Spark and HD Voice.
